Wildlife Images is a wildlife rehabilitation center in Southeast Oregon. I'll quote the Wildlife Images Web site for the best description of their facility:

Wildlife Images Rehabilitation and Education Center was founded as a non-profit corporation in 1981 to provide for the care and treatment of sick, injured and orphaned wildlife, and offer educational programs on wildlife, conservation and the environment to schools, organizations and the general public.

I first visited Wildlife Images when I was a kid and I remember that it made quite an impact on me at the time. I never forgot my visit and the descriptions of the terrible things that happened to the animals that are living there. Wildlife Images is also the location of the famous story of the grizzly bear and the cat that lived and played together in the bears enclosure - click here to read the story of Griz and Cat.

I recently revisited the facility and was impressed at all the improvements they have made over the years. It warms my heart that there is an organization out there that cares about the lives of these animals.
