Continuing past the Rainbow Lakes on the Rainbow Lakes Trail there is an easy cross country (about a quarter mile) route to higher Slide Lake. There are nice campsites across the outlet stream. Slide Lake sits in a beautiful bowl with nice views of the continental divide above.
