I hope to be able to do some of this during the summer:

Anyone wishing to volunteer on the Sheldon during the May 31 - Aug 31 period is welcome to join the fence crew on the days of your choice. You will stay with the crew at Little Sheldon.

Me, too! (when I get back from UT)
I get FONW and ONDA updates on my Facebook wall, and when I saw these appear at the same time that I retired I decided that I should get involved in a way like this, in addition to sending an annual check.

BTW: I think this new section you've added -- with Advocacy events, jobs, volunteer opportunities -- is totally great! Good job, DD. Posted Image

The three day weekends of fence clearing seem like a reasonable choice. Will look into one of those.

I've worked with ONDA a few times removing fence at Hart Mountain and doing wilderness inventory at Owyhee Canyon. Great experiences!

Here's another/updated link about Sheldon volunteer work this summer:
Summer of Sheldon 2011

I really should get involved with this this summer...especially since I've enjoyed Sheldon many times over the years...and I'm retired and have the time.
I don't think I'll be ready for the outing this month (camper has work-in-progress), maybe July would work out.
