H.D.;
north west in the park-higher elev,cooler and cold in winter,blair valley area cooler south west .
it is all obvious once you arrive in Borrego.
the park head quarters has a huge amount of books,maps,information,and very knowledgeable
volunteers who know a lot about the out of way places.
the town has a very good library that has a vast collection of books on the area,you can spend
hours there and it is really laid back,plus computers for free.
the focal point in borrego is christmas tree circle a small park at the main traffic circle in town
just hanging out there you will be able to talk to fellow visitors and learn a lot about the park.
hope this helps.
as a side note we are going to be going to Borrego next week for a test trip in our new tiger bengal!
drive slow and enjoy "its the journey"

If I had that sort of time to spend a winter I would go to Baja, hands down! I've spent a month at a time in Baja, it's heaven.
