About Me

Raised in Pennsylvania and Northern Illinois. Major interest in fishing and amateur wrestling in those days.
Moved to Oregon in 1971. Retired from my education career to Central Oregon--a little bit of heaven on earth for a nature loving country boy. 50 lakes within 50 miles of my chalet among the ponderosa pine trees. New 2009 19' River Hawk boat with a 115 HP Evinrude E-Tech. Still looking for my kicker motor. 2009 Ram 1500 Quad Cab pulls it well even while carrying my 2007 Outfitter Caribou 8.

My three grown sons (26,37 and 39) are still sportsmen competing in multiple sports and also enjoying the outdoors (hiking internationally, mountain climbing, rock climbing, biking, kayaking, skiing).

My latest project is to build my garage (26' x 36') with additional guest quarters. I will fill this property with outdoor toys enabling my sons and grandson to recreate here in Central Oregon with this Chalet as their expedition "base camp". The property is named "Fort Wyatt" after my first grandson. Last fall I re-roofed the combination Kayak and Snowmobile garage.

I train in tennis and general fitness five days a week at Sage Springs Spa and Tennis Club in Sun River, OR. (if you are in the area and need a workout, you may want to be my guest)

My dog Shady is very athletic, happy and spirited. Life is good, living life well is even better.
