    Any option to have the camper made with something covering the exposed exterior gray painted wood. Seems a little unfinished to me...maybe running the siding over those area's as well?

    Have you considered siping the tires? I have BFG AT tires on a Tacoma that also slipped and felt quite dangerous on icy roads. Siping greatly improved the traction. It was well worth the cost.
