Awesome!

Our local Tahoe Sierra has about half that amount, but it's been offering some good skiing lately  :)

Yep, snow looks good up here now...but it did in December last year, too -- and then it stopped snowing.

But might as well think positively until we have reason to think otherwise! :)

Hopefully it doesn't suddenly warm up here in the west and wash all this snow away, would cause a lot of flooding.  Snoqualmie Pass on I-90 with 26" new snow recorded today, on top of 13" yesterday has now received more snow so far this year than it did all of last season (160" has fallen, with a snow pack of 80").  At just 3,000 feet of elevation, in marginal years it may not get too much snow so at the higher elevations there should be quite a snowpack building.  Would love to see it last into July

Hey guys, it's not fall anymore.  Let's put weather/season-related posts in the Winter (solstice) 2015 thread.

:)

It's after the solstice, so will a new thread be started?

Any Member is welcome to start whatever topic they like (*). :)

In 2013 the Winter Solstice thread became the seasonal thread (17 pages worth!), so there is that precedent.

The winter solstice is a specific moment in time, but since it marks the beginning of winter (traditionally) it's reasonable that the topic becomes the seasonal thread.

But, as I said, Members can start whatever topic they like (within the bounds of the *Site Rules).
