Back from Alaska

Just returned from my little trip - Bardstown,Kentucky, to Alaska and back - 21,660 total miles in 214 day.

91 days in Alaska
6344 miles driiven in Alaska
150 miles hiked/walked
9 Ferry rides
1440 ferry miles
5 islands
6 times we crossed the U.S.- Canada border Into and out of Alaska

Wow, Steve, those are some phenomenal stats. I'm sure your photos can tell quite a story. We're remote, in southern DV, so not much connectivity to view your site.

If there's an award for longest TR travel, you may well be in the running.

What a great report (not done reading yet), and a trip of a lifetime. How did you do your map? I'm going to purchase an Delome Inreach and the maps app. Is that what you used?

Yup, I have a Delorme inReach Explorer. Sent a waypoint to their maps portal every 10min during the trip and had it with me when hiking. Family liked knowing where I was and its nice having the SOS feature as we were in some pretty remote places.
