Hey Jame,

For the cab over area, I think it was more of the same material. Post 37 in this thread has a pretty clear photo of it that might help you figure it out a bit better. I guess the only difference in the cab over area is that the square tube is open on one side. I add a piece of wood up there so I would have something to mount my lifters to as well.

The roof seemed to be made out of the same square tube. I think the roof is a bit larger than the base (maybe 1/2" overhand all the way around) but i am not really sure. Its been a while. Check out pokybros thread, he spent some time on the roof fixing.

For the bed slide that is a pretty standard feature in most four wheel campers. We dont have any sheets or anything, just bare foam mattresses we put sleeping bags on. Check some recent four wheel camper tour videos on youtube and you'll see a traditional pull out bed situation.

Keep the questions coming. Good luck with your welding, that sounds like a big project from here.

Thanks Tim. I will have a look at what you have graciously added to my response. You’d a legend. I will have plenty more comments yet I’m sure before it’s through. I really appreciate your help and I’m always on your YouTube channel looking for the things you have done. Cheers.

Hey Tim,

Really enjoyed this latest video, great to see your sweetheart and Patrick are doing well. Glad the new Tundra is up and running with the camper mounted, and a few new improvements. Hope you have a great summer!

Thanks Poky. I am having a great summer! My wife and I are intentionally reducing the amount we travel (fly) so we can be at home and in the camper more and just slow down a bit. Its been pretty good so far, already have another weekend of camping on the radar in a few weeks. Hope you and your camper are doing well as well.

Hi All,

I've had a lot of support from this site over the years. My camper would be no where near where it is today if not for this site.

And because I love the camper so much, I am making stickers of it!

If anyone is interested in one of these 3X3" stickers, reach out to me. We will figure out a way to get you one. Looking to probably cover cost of the stickers, (a few bucks) but also happy to send some at no cost to some of the folks that have been supportive over the years. Send me an email at info@tgmorrissey.com with you mailing address if you are interested.

Best - Tim

Hi Tim. Thanks for the help. I can’t find pokybro thread. Not really sure where I should exactly look. Appreciate your help. Once I get a few more ideas to start then I will make my post.
I’m wanting to have a rear door with the two seat couch to a bed at front across the camper and not on the side. I can see the extension bed just slides on rails and has about a three inch overhang on front bed ply. Looking for photos of lay outs but not having much luck. Just want a spot at the rear for a Porta poti. Kitchen with fridge throughout the middle. This will all be going on a 8 foot flat bed.
Loved your little overnight you tube video.
Regards
James

So, I just bought almost the exact camper a few weeks ago. They think it's an '85 or '86. The seller strapped it to my Tacoma with only two ratchets! I asked if that was good enough, and he said yes.

About a week later, driving down the freeway, it FLEW OFF MY TRUCK!!!

Turns out the wood was rotting, ripped a chunk of wood out the bottom rear where the ratchet was attached. Flipped upside down and caused one side to crunch down..

I have a baby, so not much time to repair it even though i really want to, because i paid a lot for it! $2200! He got me.

At this point, not sure what to do. Replace all rotted wood and hammer out bent metal? Or dump it? Donate it? Sell it for $100?

Any suggestions???
