Well, I’m here kinda late for the topic, but it’s my topic now. I’ve a 2014 Hawk comming off a 2000 F150 and on to a 2016 Tundra that has higher sidewalls and so the need of a raised bed. I found a picture here and hopped to discus the building of it with someone who has done it. My initial calculations seem to indicate a pad of 1-1/2” will leave me 1”of clearance above the side wall of the truck and the 11” right angle of the Camper. Anyone done it? The camper was originally factory(Denver) installed, but I’m far away and will be doing this on my own, possibly getting some electrical help from friends. Also need to know what kind of quick connect was used or should be upgraded to. I’ll be calling RMFWC and FWC in CA. Still, more information right is better than not enough. Thanks.
