Our good friends ordered a Safari Alto trailer 6 months ago for their family. Last week my buddy and I took a quick 4 day 2000 mile road trip to Canada to pick it up. We camped in it on the way back. Both  camp sites still had snow on the ground so we were glad to have a furnace. The Truma Combi furnace and water heater was extremely quiet and quite compact. I know of one FWC flatbed Hawk with that has this unit. I hope FWC will use this unit in the future. 

 

Overall the trailer was extremely comfortable, spacious and towed really well (~1700 lbs). Their unit has a king size bed, toilet, dinette with fold-out bunk bed (which sleeps 4 easily). Is a little too refined for my taste.  Its made for paved campsites and RV park. Its also made in Canada so service and warranty are issues if you live in the US. Its not for the typical WTW crowd but I thought the design was neat.

Very cool.  I saw one of these last summer and had no idea it was made in Canada.  That Truma Combi is certainly an alternative, but still not super compact... according to the installation manual  you need  500mm x 540mm x 350mm (19.7" x 21.3" x 13.8") of space, plus 10 mm (3/8") all around of non-flammables.

 

Haven't found a price yet...

That trailer is so cool.Nice and airy with a lot of window area.

The power roof sure is a great feature.Could FWC/ATC come up with some sort of system?

Lite weight also ,compared to a lot of the other trailers that are the same size.

Not in the market,but I am impressed.

Yes, but... 

German Melga Propex water heater is 9.8 x 12.8 x 17.5"  

Their Propex 2200 furnace is 12.6 x 6.8 x 3.9"

 

It would seem the two together could be 17.5" x 19.6" x 13.7"  

 

That is considerably smaller than this "compact" solution.  That said, the Truma looks pretty darn snazzy!

These trailers have quite a cult following. They have 1 year wait time. There are only 1000 of them in existence. They started to producing them  ~7 yrs ago?
