Been searching for a lightweight (teflon) griddle that we can use on the stove top in the camper. Any tried and true ones you can recommend? I guess would be good to have a good edge to keep things from getting messy.

Rob we have a cast iron one, about 7" square with a folding wire handle.

It's made in Italy and we got it a kitchen store a long time ago.It has ridges in the surface.

We carry it but don't really use it.

We think that we would use it to grill salmon but that doesn't happen.

So it just gets stored away for that one time use.

That's the kind I was thinking or w/ teflon. I like to trout fly fish and though doing a trout in a pan is fine I do like to raise it up off the bottom. I caught a beauty up in the North Maine Woods in the Penobscot lake at the headwaters of the river. It was on our maiden voyage of the FWC Eagle. It was like heaven should be. We even had a bottle of champaign!

Rob this is ours.We have used more than I thought, but not so much with the camper.

Used it a lot while tenting. Now we really don't cook a lot of meat items but it comes in handy to grill veggies/bread. I carry it anyway. In a ziplock bag though.Keeps the odors locked in,just to be careful.

The size of the photo is about the actual size of the griddle.

Looks exactly like what I was looking for. Great for bacon too as the fat is drawn away. I'm sure I'll find one like that in a camp store or on line. Thanks for the photo. I like the pout of spout too.

Hey there the hunt is over. I used your photo as a reference in the image search and found one at Sears. $25. I can live with that. I love to BBQ and usually do when camping but those days stuck in the camper cooking I would like a "grill" type pan.... less oil in the food. Thanks again for the help.

We actually use our Woody aluminum dutch oven for that kind of cooking. It works well for roasting chicken, pheasant, sharptail, etc. and cooking bacon, bread, mexican cassaroles, etc. It cleans up well so we use over fires and the stove.

I'm afraid your woody link is broken.

Hey Rob that's a cool one. I like the higher sides. Also looks like the handle folds.

Great score.
