So, itching to get out and get back on the water, I was leafing through the regs and was reminded of this program below.  Its now my most substantive 2017 New Years Resolution!  LInk to the Dept of Wildlife program and paperwork below.

The Native Fish-Slam program is intended to excite anglers in catching Nevada’s native sport fish. Six native salmonid species occur throughout central and northern Nevada. These include Lahontan, Bonneville, and Yellowstone cutthroat trout, inland redband trout, bull trout, and mountain whitefish. Click here to see a list of waters where these fish inhabit. By participating in this program, we hope that you will gain an appreciation for Nevada’s native sport fish and help support recovery, preservation, and management efforts by Nevada Department of Wildlife. Anglers completing this program will receive a certificate and customized hat.
