Clam . . . . . it's not just for bugs anymore :D....The Clam with panels worked well on this rainy weekend.

Good to know. I got the panels, too, but haven't tried them out yet. Next week looks rainy where I am in the Southeast, so maybe I'll get the opportunity.

We have been looking into getting a screen house and noticed that Clam now offers the Venture model . Looks like a decent size for what we need. Do you Clam owners have any issues with yours? Do you find that you use your shelters enough to make it worth while? Thanks.

we have the 12' clam.  Easy to set up and take down.  With the wind panels, it also stays cosy inside at cooler temps, especially if you run a propane stove to cook with.

We use it for bug and rain protection too.

Finding a place to put it while traveling is a challenge though.

We've had it for about three years and have only used it once or twice, but always have it on board just in case.  We solved the storage problem that Vic mentioned this way.

I believe the Venture is 9'x 9' and is 63" when folded so I think I can put it in the back seat. The Clam sure has good reviews.

Ah, yes.  We were very popular with our friends in early June at Sawtooth Lake in Idaho... the tent fit over the picnic table and we were toasty, dry and bug free.
