With your new extinguisher, they supplied an instruction sheet for the return. Call FEDEX, request to speak to an agent, tell them it's hazardous, give them the tracking # on the return label, and they come pick it up at your door. Easy Peasy.

 

We read the instructions. Easy Peasy if you are going to be hanging around home which we weren't. Could have waited until we would be hanging around home but didn't. It all worked out- learn something every day.

 

Kudos to Kidde- pretty painless process all around really.

Hello all
Received a replacment extinguisher today, and contacted Kiddie around 10th of November 2016. Easy instructions on returning and what to say, when I call. So there you have it, I'm grateful for the forum member sharing this information and, checked out ours found one I was able to exchange for a good one.

FYI... I just completed having mine replaced in the 2015 Hawk.  So they are still doing the recall if you have one to change out under the recall program.
