Hey Tim

Portercassidy, not Shellback. But yes, I have some questions for you as well. Funny, I finally started to work on my FWC project again today.

Also, how is the camper attached with the first gen tundras? With the same bed bar that I have for my tacoma?

Nope, uses the standard FWC mounting method with forged eye-bolts in the bed, reinforced with 3"x3" or bigger alum plates.  I did it myself and it was easy once I figured out what they were after, which is to have the front hooks pulling forwards and the rears pulling back.  They have a set of measurements, and there is a video floating (Found it! - LINK) around with a walk through.  Get under the truck where you think you want to place the hole, and make sure there is nothing in the way.  I made 1/8" pilot holes to be sure.  Don't make the angle too steep or too shallow, and you are good to go.

Finally getting back to my FWC project. Currently working on the roof. New Headliner, new insulation, new roof, new lift panels.

Currently have the new headliner glued together, and the frame stripped staring in my face in my living room. Hoping that after the ensuing staring contest, I will have to attach the headliner, install insulation, and wire it for lights, fan, and eventual solar (most likely the next owner).

I have been gathering all the materials for the project, but have a few questions for those that read this.

Roof. I ditched the old roof. In my opinion, it was just too damaged to work with after pulling it completely off the roof frame. I am going to be putting a one piece roof on it. I was wondering if FWC has spilled the beans on how they attached the roof to the frame without the screws. I read a thread on here that was 10 year old, and was hoping they may be willing to share the info with a amateur camper restorer. If not, what screws do you recommend.

Fan. I want to put in a electric fan, was wondering if there is some super cool fan out there to order. I Know there is a plethora out there, but have not really done the research yet.

It has been nice catching up on the site, and reading the adventures of old and new characters playing with their campers. Cant wait to get the camper back out in the desert.
