We made a trip to Utah a few weeks back and I am finally getting a couple reports posted.

The first report is essentially our roundabout way of getting to the White Rim in Canyonlands through a few other National Parks in southern Utah:

I have finished part one of the actual trip around the rim, which we enjoyed immensely.  There were few people and great weather, the recipe for a great trip in a wonderfully scenic place.

I'm not sure if I'll finish the trip in part two or three but hope to have the rest of the story posted by the weekend.  Thanks to those here that provided inspiration for the trip, hopefully this will pay that forward and inpire a few more trips (but not too many).

Part two is now posted here: http://www.occidenta...il-2017-part-2/

Nice write-up!  Oh so true about only scratching the surface, it seems that every trip to Utah presents me with new areas to go back and explore more in depth.
