Fritz with his first pheasant rooster.   I dropped it into a big patch of blackberries, and it took a good 20 minutes to recover.  Kind of a nasty rainy day, but it was great to see him work.

I tried a new way of preparing it.   The breast meat was removed and cut into tenders.   A little cajun seasoning with some Panko, cooked in a hot cast iron skillet.   Tasty.

cut into strips (marinaded) and make poppers is another good way.  Meat filet wrapped around Jalapeno & onion pieces and whole thing wrapped in bacon then grill them up.  All different kinds of marinades can be used prior to grilling.

Better get Fritz away from all those potential Teeny Nymph flies present in those tail feathers. Tie 'em up this winter & catch trout next spring & summer. ;)

I'd say Fritz is developing a good work ethic. Good genes and good upbringing.
