You might want to swing by the Steens if the weather is nice.  Amazing area!

Steens are possible if I have the time - I'm looking at 1 day drive time each way and 3-4 days of exploring for this trip.

For the rods and reels have you looked into this product? You use a piece of 4 inch pvc and cut it to the length you need. Rods and reels are protected from weather and would be thieves are deterred. They can be secured to the side or the roof.

Just let me know.  Waiting for a few, nice, mid-week days when I can go out and camp but I go out a lot so I'm usually there (but not w/ my camper).  Here's what I've been catching!

Nice - Didn't do that well on my trip.  It was my first time on the river and I hope to be back soon.

I'm not sure where you were but in the winter, from the tunnel up is the best and even further up is better.  When the water flows increase and the weather turns nicer, there are a lot of people out there and it's more of finding a spot by yourself.

Hello Karlton
Sorry can't offer something for the rods, it looks like the others have posted some good ones. Thanks for a good trip report to read.

I got some indoor/outdoor carpet material that comes on a roll from a home improvement store. Just bought what I needed off the roll and cut it to size. Works fine and wasn't that expensive.

To store fly rods during the day between holes, I just open the window in the front of the camper and the back truck window and put the rods through the windows. I use a piece of foam to keep them from sliding around. Works great and and is easy.

Owyhee is on my bucket list. Thanks for the post.

Gregg
