Ok guys - quick update!

Over the past week we've done a lot:

- Finished the solar install, it's working great! I do need to add another battery eventually. For now the group 31 deep cycle works well.

- Finished the flooring

- About 1/2 way done with the wallpaper/contact paper. The new color scheme is very "silver spur" like.

- LED lights installed (thanks for the recommendation!)

- Truck wiring complete. I used 6 gauge between truck battery and camper.

- Finished the front bench seat (re-using the split lower couch seat)

- Installed a DIY table setup that swing out of the way

- Added a Campco portal cassette toilet

- Re-used the second split seat from the couch for another bench seat

- Installed curtain rod, still need to find the right black-out curtains

- Relocated the thermostat and battery/tank monitor to next to sink (I have a family, they like to push buttons!)

- Installed 60lb struts to help with the roof

For now some exterior shots - I'll snap some interior pic tomorrow during the day! Thanks for all the great advice on this forum, amazing to see all the great upgrades and mods everyone has done!

We're planning on doing a family first trip shake down trip this weekend, doing some beach camping on Padre Island, followed by a solo trip up to Colorado to check on a rental property. Love the convience of having a home on my back when I travel!

Hay you got a lot done there dustent, camper looks nice with the struts. Would like to see your table when you get a moment. Looked at your earlier shots and noticed the OEM heater thermostat. Might want to check one of these out wife and I really like ours was a good idea floating around on the site. Tried the 35 setting couple times this past winter with top down sitting in front of house, worked as advertised.
Enjoy your outing Russ
Copied from post elsewhere on site.

"I just replaced the thermostat in my '05 Hawk this morning with the Honeywell TH100DV1000. Just 2 wires and pop in 2 AAA batteries and it's good to go. There are included instructions that tell you how to set thermostat for garage mode (35 F). The only other setting was choosing Celsius or F. Takes less than a minute to program. Cost about $29.00 from Amazon. "
