Here's a picture of our intrepid neighbors including Jackie (Happyjax), a couple from the Virgin Islands and a few people from Ohio. Unfortunately we were unable to connect with Linda as she was having some mechanical issues...

I hope the trials and tribulations of OX-East do not provide the Hansen's reason to discontinue the event.
While we thoroughly enjoy the Asheville area, we wouldn't mind driving further to a more suitable venue for this event. Read...no mud and off-the-grid.
Lynn is from Waynesville, just west of Asheville so we are very familiar with western NC. We have a place in Graham County in the Snowbird Mountains, not far from the Tail of the Dragon.
I don't think the WNC Ag Center in Fletcher NC would be a suitable venue.
The Upper SC Fair Grounds in Greenville might be nice but then it is close to I-85 and all associated traffic. But Clemson is just down the road!!!!
Heck, I'd rather camp in the middle of the Martinville Speedway (VA) oval at OX-East then in the middle of a muddy farmer's field!
This event is about connecting with friends and seeing all the latest and greatest overland gear and rigs. I don't need to boondock in a forgettable location for OX!

Camper shopping was one of my agenda items and Alaskan Campers is on the list.
I have to give a big shout out to Bryan for letting me use one of his campers on Sat. night so I would not freeze in my truck. Sure was a great experience!
Bryan Dorrie and John were all wonderful to hang out with and talk campers.
That flatbed is very impressive.....
