We just got home from Lake Powell, taking back roads much of the time. A real treat was today, here in Oregon. The upper reaches of the Santiam River are simply stunning. The bracken, vine maple, cottonwood, huckleberries and other plants and bushes are brilliant. It seems a bit early to be peak, but it’s certainly worth a visit.

Bill, there are none... yet. Pulling a 5,000 pound boat with truck and full size camper (with half of Oregon going deer hunting in Eastern Oregon) isn’t the best photo expedition rig.
