I think Nevada has the most as mining was so prevalent there. We have been to Belmont, Goldpoint, Candalaria, Delamar, Ralston, Ophir, Park City, Belleville, Columbus, Rhyolite, Galena to name them off the top. Some still have residents and others have been torn down. I think Park City and Delamar were my favorites but haven’t been there for a few years. Next spring we hope to visit a few more in northern Nevada. They are some of my favorite places to explore, to think about how they survived in those days and what their hopes and dreams were.
