Planning a trip to New Hampshire the first week of June. My original plan was 4 nights at Passaconaway NF Campground and 4 nights at Franconia Notch SP. However, the State Park doesn't allow pets in the campground, so that is out. Looking for other camping choices around Conway and the White Mountains. Plan on taking the tram, incline railroad, the train, visiting the Gorge. Micro Brewery's, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. jd

Kangamucus Highway. Beautiful drive, at least 6 or more National Forest campgrounds, but reservation likely needed.

Here's a website listing all the National Forrest Campgrounds..

We used to camp at a NF Campground at the base of Mt. Lafayette that had great hiking

Are you going to drive up the auto Rd to the top of Mt. Washington or take the Cog Railroad? If you do be sure to bring warm clothes! I hiked the Presidentials many years ago during August and there was a snowstorm with winds blowing about 50 mph!
