For those with the factory installed rear awning is the circular part of the rail mounted up or down?

Any chance of a photo of an original FWC awning rail installed ?

Many thanks

Are you referring to the track mounted on the rear edge of the roof?

Yes

Is the circular portion which holds the awning up or down?

Most typically it would be down but I seem to recall a lack of space and FWC mounts it up.

Looking for an image.

Thanks

David, I have and use the rear awning but don't understand the question? I'd be willing to take pics... can you be a bit more specific for this dummy :(

Thanks all

It appears they seem to mount the awning rail "upside down" to help clear the lifting assist struts....

Mine is mounted "upside down" just as in PaulT's photo.  I didn't order any awning, side or rear, and didn't even know I had an awning rail on the back.

Zirdu

Your welcome for the favor !

You are lucky to have it as the factory used an slightly large Keder welt for their awnings and that size awning rail is hard to find/buy.

A smaller 3/16" hole in the rail is much more commonly seen.

A rear awning may not fit most folks needs but I have ulterior motives for wanting one.
