Finally, there is another post on Bosque Bill's Backroads travel & camping blog.

Southeastern Utah - Fall 2018 in two parts. There’s a link at the end of part 1 for part 2.

Valley of the Gods, Mexican Hat Rock, Goosenecks State Park, and Butler Wash Road

https://bosquebill.b...-fall-2018.html

NEW: Both parts contain Virtual Reality “Magic Windows” to display spherical panoramas. You can look up and down and all around within the window.

I highly recommend that you click the four-cornered icon in the lower right-hand corner of the VR window to view the pano in full-screen to get the full experience. If you’re viewing on a mobile device, you should be able to look around by moving your phone or tablet. If you’re running NoScript, or other javascript blocker, enable 360player.io to get the VR view.

[Update 12/9/18: If you like the VR images, I have a few more here: https://kuula.co/profile/BosqueBill ]

Remember, click on any photo for a larger version.

Hope you enjoy the trip.

Bill

Would love to be a short drive from Utah- it's an amazing place! Thanks for your report. The 360° panoramas are pretty cool.

Bill, superb trip reports and photos! In particular, the image with the bluff and clouds is outstanding! I’d love to see that converted to monochrome. It would be a SW classic.

Thanks. A good idea. I actually played around with it a bit this morning. Optimizing B/W is an art I'm less experienced doing, so many variables compared to making a color photo look as close to my eye's memory as possible. Nonetheless, I'll link my attempt. Note, I also re-cropped as that seemed warranted: https://photos.googl...Epod1Uzb2NSLUVB

Update 12/9/18:

If you liked those VR images, I have a few more here: https://kuula.co/profile/BosqueBill

These are slightly better resolution and include Mexican Hat Rock, one more of Butler Wash, and one of a spectacular red cliff in the Jemez Mountains of New Mexico.

Bill, if you don’t have the NIK plugins for PS, I recommend them. SilverEfex is a powerful tool for monochrome. Another in that suite does fantastic noise reduction.

Edit: I love your new composition! BTW, I can’t see anything from your kuula link. User not found error.
