Have gotten by with the cord through the hatch, but wanted something a bit better......

I have wanted to add a AC outlet to my front battery box, but wanted something small to conserve space.  So I repurposed a gang box from Home Depot. 15 amp blue sea breaker, power indicator, reverse polarity indicator, and single plug. Will connect my Victron 15 amp blue smart battery charger (Bluetooth enabled) to the single plug. Will also run a circuit to my rear mounted air conditioner.

Russ, I lost one of the original screws for the breaker, so the odd screw is one that had the right threads that I had laying around.   :)

When I ordered my Ocelot, I Amazon drop shipped a 5k BTU window unit to ATC and they installed with the appropriate additional bracing in the back wall.  Here are a couple of pics of the air conditioner.

It will cool down the camper fairly well, especially at night when you need it for sleeping in Texas.  This is my only need for shore power and I have a 2000W champion generator that easily handles the startup and run currents for this AC.  I have not used it a lot, but nice to have if somewhere hot and humid.

Hi Alvis
Sorry for the stupid question, sometimes there are reasons. And also I can’t help myself. We also (wife) wanted a/c so they framed and wired for the a/c. We have yet to install. They also framed and plumbed for a water heater which I have installed and can now shower like the rockarfellers. [emoji3]
We are originally from Houston I get it. Glad your enjoying the camper.
Merry Christmas.
