Ah...great question..my new tires must be 31.7 " in diameter or less to get my Tundra/Hawk through my shop door [not going to drop pressure every time I go in or out]......so my current tires are "C" [6ply] Toyo AT2s at 31.7 " and the new Cooper tires are specd at 31.7"...

I plan to take one of the almost new "C" Toyo tires and hang it under the Tundra as a spare...saves money and no big deal for load rating or size...close enough to get me to a tire dealer...

Wallowa sounds like you have it all figured out.

The Cooper tires will do you good.

Just put a set of 35/12.50X17 on ICON 6 Speed wheels yesterday at Les Schwab. <100 miles so far, but very quiet, great ride quality. The Mazama Open Range's are made for Les Schwab by SUMITOMO. I have used this brand on different vehicles going back to the 80's, this is the first time on a "light truck". So far very impressed but of course time will give a more complete picture.

Hey folks!  I found this thread a few months ago when I was searching for information about the Les Schwab/Mazama tires.  I bought a set in January of 2019 specifically for a trip from western WA to Wisconsin - IN THE WINTER! (...nobody ever said I was the sharpest tool in the box...).

Well, now that I have firsthand experience with them (about 5000 miles now), I have to say that I really like them - a lot!.  The 2000 mile trip from WA to WI saw 1500 miles in snowy conditions.  My F-150 performed incredibly well in large part to the tires.  While I-94/I-90 had the right lane fairly well clear, the norm was you had to venture into that uncleared left lane if you wanted to pass.  The mountain passes weren't always plowed either.  With the truck in automatic 4wd I passed confidently (at 60+ MPH) and only once did I feel the truck slip.  That one slip was going up into a pass in Idaho where the roads were in horrible condition - I press on the gas, the truck downshifted and when the turbos spooled up it broke traction for just a second before the computer dealt with it.  I honestly don't think I could say that with the OEM Hankook tires.

Other observations; recommended tire pressure is 51psi - that makes for a bit more harsh ride, driving over road imperfections seem a bit quieter, I haven't spun the rear tires on wet roads when starting from a dead stop.

Bottom line - I'm very happy with the Open Range A/T's.  Size is 275/55R-20 which calculates out to 31.9" high, 10.8" wide.

Thanks for this info guys.  I've been a die hard Toyo/ Les Schwab fan for years but was eyeing these new Mazama's last time I was in for a rotation.  A little cheaper than a comparable Toyo, and as a bonus has the winter snowflake on them.  I am probably due for a new set of tires this fall and these will be on the list.

I was just reading a thread that linked me to Top 9 All-Terrain Tires For Truck Camper Rigs.  That got me curious about the tires I just bought (this week), the Les Schwab Open Range A/T and found this thread.  Only having them a week, I can't give you much a report other than to say they look nice and pretty quiet on the road.

However, when I was getting ready to replace my old tires, one of the sales people said that the Open Range are a branded tire manufactured by Dean Tires.  Searching the Dean site "retailers", it came back with "Dean Tires are sold at all Les Schwab Tire Center locations. Click here to find a store near you."  So there you go, Mazama Tires = manufactured by Dean Tires.
