I had the same issue and the same solution. The URL is formed incorrectly for these last two links.
Try these:
Part IV https://lighthawkpho...alley-part-iii/
Part V: https://lighthawkpho...k-hills-part-v/
Good posts & timely for us as we plan to go there at end of Feb assuming it isn’t closed then.

Paul

Hmmm... I'll have to fix those links.

Edit:  Now New and Improved!!

Paul, this area won't be affected by the government shutdown, other than perhaps locking of the bathrooms?

We bring our own WAG bags and don't use the government services when we're out in the DV backcountry anyway.

Love the Salt lake pictures!

Thanks, Vic!

It's an amazing place.

And we love having the salt at home now too.

Very enjoyable read this Sunday morning.
The salt lake and burro pics were my favorites.
Thanks for posting.

What Eddie said!  I did the same thing on a cold, wet Sunday morning.

How long did Ms. Lighthawk have to stand perfectly still in order for the ripples to subside so you could photograph that mirror surface?

Nice, nice work.  And not "Hobbled in the Haboob" this time.  A home run!

Glad some of you are enjoying the story and photos!

I was losing momentum, but have to get back to it and write up Eureka Dunes.
