Any Overland Bound members recognize this vehicle?
1996 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4, lightly lifted, ARB bumper/Warn winch, BFG AT/KO2, Snugtop shell. SOLD! But not forgotten!
2002 Chevy 2500HD XC LB 6.0L 4X4, Leer Hi-Rise shell, completely stock...for now!

Well, leaving the old axle is better than leaving the whole truck I guess-but not not by much! They could have packed it out but now in so many years it becomes an "Historic Artifact" for some later visitor to wonder what the story behind it was. So ain't life weird ,!

What makes us believe this was left behind? I see the picture of it laying on the ground, but no reference as to when that was relative to the repair or that it was left and not later retrieved.

Well, it was moved from beside the vehicle to a spot further away. I don't know why anyone would do that with an item they intended on packing into/onto their vehicle and taking it out.

There at least 2 vehicles and how many guys involved? Almost had to be a pickup that brought the new axle in. I bet there were 4-6 people involved. You find trash everywhere. Empty water bottles, cans, etc.
