Would love to hear who you are using to insure your Four Wheel Camper.  Maybe even what your policy cost is.

I pick up my new Grandby in a couple weeks.  Figured better get insurance lined up.

Been with USAA for 35 years.  They don't insure RV's.  Get kicked over to their partner Progressive.  Been with them for over 10 years on motorcycles and UTV insurance I have with them

Spoke to Progressive.  The person on the other end of the phone really did not understand what a slide in camper was.  Price seemed a little steep.  $525 a year,   with a $1000 deductible.  Full coverage for replacement purchase price.

Who are you using and what is the premium?

Ours is insured by USAA. First, it isn't an RV. Ours is insured as part of the truck. It is also insured off the truck. This has come up before. Could it be your description that has thrown USAA off. Call them back. Many others are covered by USAA. jd

Thanks longhorn1

I'll call USAA back.  The first person I got was also lost about a slide in camper.

I figured that is the best description.  She seemed to think it was an RV

I’ve also been ensured by USAA for a long time, and as longhorn1 said, they will cover the camper as part of the truck.
Good luck with your new camper.

My Farmers agent found me a policy through Foremost. Sbout $32 /month. $250 deductible. The way my trusted agent described it I'm pretty confident it's a good policy it even includes full replacement value.

The policy also met the lenders requirements for the camper alone.

Foremost here in Mass. About $280 for my fleet.  It seems like every state is different.

Same here, have USAA, used Progressive. Pay about $100/year for an Ocelot. Think about $15G replacement value.

Ah, just read the other comments on USAA. Will be calling them back to see about getting insurance from them now!

To add to my post above , I don't pay a dime. It is covered as part of the truck. When it is off, it is covered under my homeowner's policy.
