Well it's finally time to retire my 03 Tundra. I want to keep the 2011 4wc Kestral that's on it. The problem is that all new trucks have higher bed sides. This means I will have to lift the camper up on a platform of some sorts. Has anybody done this? The extra storage would be nice if I could build a sturdy platform with drawers. This must of been done before. Maybe a metal platform?

thanks

Several members have done this. How deep is the new bed?

Measure the depth of the Kestral from the bottom to the overhang.

You might only have to raise the camper just a 2x4 or 4x4 depth.

When you measure how much extra height you need don't forget to measure that the front overhang clears the cab as well as the side rails.

Thanks!

This 6" JOBOX box with drawers may be just the ticket to go under the camper
