Hello I have a 2008 Outfitter Caribou. Currently there is not anything mounted to the exterior.

I am interested in mounting an awning, maybe a ladder to the roof, racks on the top and possibly and extra gas can mount.

I'm hoping someone can shed some light on how this is done with this type of camper? Since I don't have anything mounted I have nothing to go on.

What's used to brace the mounting surface from the inside? Is there a plate that reinforces the exterior mounting point from the inside?

I don't want to necessarily turn my camper into swiss cheese with a bunch of brackets or plates on the interior wall and taking it to Outfitter for them to do the install is not feasible?

Any suggestions or even better a picture of what it looks like inside would be appreciated.

Thanks

In my opinion, your best option is to call the builder to get this kind of information.
