hi all

When I am camping in my 1995 10' CO, my CC Crane 2E & Skywave Radios get minimal reception due to being inside camper. I am looking to connect an AM long wire or Shortwave antenna to these radios from outside to get better reception.

Drilling holes in the camper is concerning and would only want to do it once correctly.

Any ideas or pictures of where to run wires from outside to counter above fridge where I keep the radios plugged in to 120v power?

thanks for the help

Nice looking Alaskan.  Love the electrical strut mounting system.  I drilled holes in the upper right rear of my Alaskan for both the Wi-Fi booster and Cell phone booster antennae.  If you drill high enough on the rear wall all the cabling can then be run through your upper cabinets.  I used polybutyl tape sandwiched between the camper skin and each mount to stop any moisture from entering thru the skin.

In the picture attached you can see what we did at the factory in the upper right wall for mounting antennae.

All the best.

I don't have cabinets on that side due to the cassette toilet, but you gave me some ideas to hunt down.

nice picture of a new Alaskan.

enjoyed visiting the factory when they replaced all my pirelli seals last year.

I would do like The factory and go out the back. It’s the only solid surface unless you go thru a roof beam (2x2 really 1.5x1.5)
