Thinking about heading in this direction rather than north over Memorial Day, mainly to avoid 17 between Flagstaff and Phoenix on the way home.
Anyone spent any time in this district and have suggestions of places to get away from people? If there are opportunities for wildlife photography or interesting hikes without tearing down camp that would be a plus.
Open to other suggestions in the western part of The Land of Enchantment.
