I've seen differing opinions on whether the roll cage on my Jeep would act as a Faraday cage. All I know is when I was Squaw Ridge and saw a storm moving in I got the the heck out of there. I'm glad we don't have non metal roofs on our campers.

One thing they do say is roll up your windows. Sorry Riley, no noses out the window during a thunderstorm.

If a sailboat survives a lighting strike, what are the odds a camper would escape unscathed?

I can guarantee that sailboat was not okay.

I looked at a sailboat once that had been struck by lightning. It looked like someone stood inside

and fired a shotgun through the hull.....many times.
