On our recent month long trip to Colorado and Utah we discovered the need for an exterior storage bag...not necessarily for trash but for laundry!

In talking to my wife, Terri, we thought if we could find a bag that we could attach to the rear ladder that actually had two pockets; one for laundry and one for trash that would be ideal...

Does anyone know of such a bag or something that we could use to solve our dilemma?
Thanks.

Your post brought to mind Blue Ridge Overland Gear as I know they make an alternative to the Trasharoo.

I see they also do a smaller 'tire storage bag' which would looks like an interesting possibility for your purpose.

You might give them a call and discuss what you'd like to do and see if they could provide the buckles and straps for a ladder mount (or perhaps for a cross-bar mounted on the ladder) rather than the tire mount straps.  They may also have other options.

They're in Bedford, VA and I see that's only about an hour's drive from Smith Mountain Lake.

Thanks Old Crow-
I actually sent an email to them and am hoping that something can be worked out with them. I’m a strong believer in buying local when ever possible but I thought I would “cast a wider net”...

The Trasharoo does have a fairly large zippered pocket in the flap that could be used for laundry. Might also contact Dave & Yosh with your idea/need. Never know.

For about 20 years I've been using an old sleeping bag stuff sack for dirty clothes. Empty to full it stays in my clothes bag. That way I don't create yet another object that has to be stored/packed/moved around.
