We use a plate on top of a receiver xtension

The silver "U" shaped bracket takes the side "wobble" out.

And the the Folding 3-step by Rubbermaid that 4 wheel sells.

You still have a receiver to carry your electric Bike:

Or Suzucki Samurai

Plus 1 on the Little Giant Three Step.  Followed another campers instructions for removing the bars surrounding the top.  Used a reciprocating saw to remove.  Works great and is very stable.  A bit heavy so we only use it when we have our Stowaway2 Hitch rack that will swing out of the way.

I ended up with something similar to RC Pilot. Diamond plate welded to a piece of 2" tubing slid into the receiver hitch. It is a bit of a step up, but it works until I'm a little less mobile.

Those little giants are great and very stable, had to go with the 4 step since my truck is lifted.
