Bill, thanks for posting the heads up.  I’ve not heard of the 10 stage cleaning process.  What can you tell me?

Building houses at PAX and Boling?  LOL....

Great toys at PAX for sure!!!!

i retired at the end of May from residential construction. I’m doing a little construction consulting for the military (specifically the Navy/Marines).

in reading your additional post I’m wondering if you could tell me how many miles you have on your truck? Also, have you used any diesel additive?

Haven't digested this whole tread and my experience is with the 6.4 but fwiw ... my question on the dpf cleaning service would be: can it be done to the oem dpf (light truck). When I looked into it I my time, the answer was no. You needed to buy a purpose built, removable and cleanable filter. Then could have it cleaned as required. I assume larger OTR trucks come with these and they are the cleaning service's primary customers but could be wrong/have changed.

We did everything right with out motor but eventually had some frequent regen issues and had the dealer do a manual clean (or two, I can't remember) where the truck is parked at the end of the parking lot and put into a manual clean at high rpm for a long period of time.

After that we still had problems with frequent regens and soon were going into regen almost constantly. Next dealer suspected substrate in filter was getting clogged. Couldn't guarantee their cleaning would last. That put the orig dpf basically used up at 73K miles.

PaulT linked the 10 stage process I was referring too.  Ultrasonic cleaning can be done at many diesel specific shops.

I was told the Super Duty DPF can be cleaned, but, you must remove it from the your truck.
