What is the situation regarding easy and close water access for putting my inflatable kayak in.  I have read about how low the water is now and some of the photos online make it look kinda dismal.  Is it worth it?  Would I be limited to marinas with boat ramps or are there primitive areas I can drive close to the water for a short carry.

Bill, I can’t give status, but I can offer a caution.  If the quagga mussels are like Lake Powell, be careful with boat and your hide.  They’re sharp!

The black line is the high water mark of Quaggas.  I think we were in Iceberg Canyon at Lake Powell
