I've been diagnosed with arthritis in my hip, severe at the moment and while I'm going to learn a whole lot about it (appt with a specialist on halloween) one thing I haven't heard is the effect of altitude on the joints. Mine went from uncomfortable to extremely painful right after my return from my last camping trip. I'm wondering if going from sea level to 9000' and back might have impacted it.
Arthritis?

Sorry to hear about your health issue. Hopefully the specialist can provide relief. I’m on week 14 of a total hip replacement and doing ok. I also have arthritis on my lower spine. A long career as a carpenter has caught up with me. Power through and good luck on your outcome.

Craig, I have arthritic pain with weather changes, in hips and knees. The old barometer bones chestnut has some truth to it. I’m seeing my orthopedic doc on the same day you’re seeing yours.
