I was in the local Costco and saw Yamaha SC200Oi generator/inverters for $450.

This seemed like a reasonable deal to me.

Picked up 2 for the long weekend and the land yacht.  May incorporate one into a Grandby build, though I don't plan on running much power unless ocd kicks in!

At any rate, I liked these generators due to lower noise level, weight of each, capability to chain them together for more power when needed (AC and Microwave), inverter feature,  and at a good price point with a solid costco return policy.

I'll let you know how the weekend use and functionality goes.

reviews are kind of mixed on these: Yamaha engine, someone else built and assembled.

Mine has been use and abused by coworker. Cleaned it up serviced and sits most of the time waiting. Always starts, and works.

Looks like a deal but  there are small differences between the SC and the EF series.

OK - So I paralleled 2 A-IPower SC2000i units for a few days this weekend, ran them 10 hours a day in support of AC, TV, microwave here and there . . . Sucked up about 5 gallons of gas and did not use Eco mode.   I had no problems drawing the power that I needed (except when trying to run a microwave and AC at the same time).

Obviously, I cannot speak to longevity, but I'll probably hang on to them and take my chances.
