I just finished a week long trip with our new FWC and 2017 Ford F-150. I am a nut bass guy and the FWC addition is awesome for portable lodging. Several lakes hit with some big girls playing nice. Weather was unseasonably cold for early November with lows in the 20s. Launching the boat was a breeze with the combo and shallow ramps were no problem for the Ford. It was great to return to the camper for lunches and dinners. The furnace was much appreciated at night for a comfortable sleep. Our Grandby has almost all options FWC offers making the camper very comfortable. This time of year campgrounds and lakes are ghost towns which I love.

Slow cold water techniques triggered bites.

Shallow ramps required hip boots for a dry launch and recovery.

The weather improved as the week progressed. Night temps were still below freezing.

Simple but filling meals were enjoyed after a day on the water.

Great trip with some quality bass caught and released. I always enjoy the challenge of bass fishing in cold water. Looking forward for next seasons adventures a trip to the St.Lawrence and Minnesota. Also looking forward in wandering the western states with my wife. I’ve been taking notes from you guys on trip ideas. Thanks for sharing the awesome trip posts and pics!

Thanks to all for the nice comments! I’ve been fishing for over forty years. I’ve been blessed with skills to figure things out. These skills helped me retire as a carpenter/millwright to enjoy the (golden years). My season is officially over here temps going well below freezing for several days. Well next March will be here soon.  :(
