Today is April 22, 2011, it is significant because:
Today is EARTH DAY!
Here's something easy to advocate. Go outside, do something, and celebrate Mother Earth. While your there pick up some trash. Leaving Mom's place a little cleaner than you found it is both polite and probably good (Karma, manners, business, idea, insert your own analogy here).
Not to make light of Advocacy in general or specifically this venue, I'll go out on a limb and suggest that remembering the planet, Earth, regardless of your stance on environmental protection, global warming, resource extraction and so on is an idea most people can appreciate.
So go outside, do something and celebrate Mother Earth.

It's good to know someone did not overlook the low tech approach.
I guess I should mention the significance with 1970. April 22nd 1970 was the first "Official" Earth Day.
