But seriously, folks...I've read the material on Eastern coywolves, but I saw this BIG 'yote just below the Bow Falls in Banff last week. He had to weigh 40 pounds and was a chunky critter. Any thoughts about western coywolves? In any case, isn't he one handsome critter?

Looks like a big healthy male. I would be surprised if it turned out to be a hybrid. Great sighting!
