Hey all,

Recently picked up my 2013 FWC Hawk Shell Front-Dinette Model and I'd thought I'd share. Made to fit on my new 2012 Toyota Tundra 4x4 TRD.

The truck is basically stock. I added Weathertec floor mats, Mac's Custom Tie Downs L-Track kit in the bed, as well an inexpensive Bed Mat from Amazon. I also had the bed sprayed with LineX. As for suspension and tires, I put new E-rated Cooper AT3s on, as well as Timbrens. I'm going to run this setup until I make it down to Deaver for a custom spring setup. I also plan adding an extended range fuel tank when I'm in California.

As for the Hawk, I ordered it with the following options:
-Hawk Shell made for late model Tundra
-Mechanical Camper Jacks
-Aluminum bracket upgrade
-Solar plug on roof
-Front Dinette w/swivel table
-Furnace
-Propane cabinet
-Two burner stove
-Powered roof vent
-Screen Door
-Yakima Tracks
-Rear LED Floodlights
-Artic Pack
-Aux. Battery system w/2 batteries
-Gas strut roof assists

Mods so far:
-Install L-track on floor of shell and 'benches'
-Install Blue Sea fuse box(FWC should have used this instead of POS Bussman fuse box)
-Install Blue Sea 12v Plug and 12v USB Outlet
-Install LED lights in overhead lights
-Install plug for 12v fridge(I used same style plug as solar plug)
-Make reflectix window covers for all windows
-"De-Badge" camper. Removed all but "Hawk" logos with heat gun.
-Install Morningstar Solar controller
-Install AM Solar 100 watt panel

Also made a very simple dolly for the camper. If I air down my tires, I barely squeeze in the garage. I may remove some molding from my garage to give me enough height to add the OME suspension I want...

Probably wonder why I have no truck/camper photos...hmm, well, it was raining and snowing when Jay installed the camper down in Medford when I picked it up. He efficiently installed the camper, then I sped back to Portland to get back to work. I immediately put it in my garage to dry it out and save it from Portland's monsoon rains. I do plan on going on my first trip towards the end of this month. Will report back after the trip. Also would like to do a Baja trip in March...anyone interested? I'd be driving down from Portland...

As for my initial impressions, I'm really happy with the camper. I placed the order the week after Thanksgiving and picked up my camper on January 10th...pretty quick turnaround. Construction quality seems good. Haven't really found any faults yet, but then again I haven't done anything other than hang out in my garage with it! One gripe I have is about the wiring and placement of fuse box. They cheaped out and used el cheapo Bussman fuse block. I would much rather see a Blue Sea unit and would have gladly paid more for it. Fuse block is difficult to access and hard to get my fingers in there. Also, the wiring and connectors seem of low quality. Hopefully they will last. I like to use wire and connectors from Greg's Marine Wire. Super high quality and dirt cheap.

I will update this thread as I work on my truck and camper, as well as with highlights of the trips I take it on!
