Hello, I'm a long-time camper, but new to truck campers. A pop-up truck camper is what I want. Today I looked at a nice Palomino Bronco 800 camper, and was ready to buy, untill we hooked up the 120AC power. It would almost immediately set off  the garage breaker. The fridge wont turn on, and all the outlets are dead. We tried plugging just the fridge into an external source, and it didn't run or pop the breaker.

It's a nice camper, but I don't want a can of worms. Any common faults or things to look at? Thanks. Hal

Is it cheap? Palominos new are almost 1/2 the cost of a FWC new; also almost twice the weight. Can you do the electrical yourself?? If you can it might be worth doing a complete rewire. If you have to pay an electrician it will be expensive.  First truck camper and cheap enough I might give it a try, keeping in mind that this will be your first and will move on to another.
