Oregon Trail Off-Road (OTO) is a team of four guys with a passion for overlanding that is in the beginning of a two year planning process in order to achieve the largest expedition any of us has undertaker and retrace the Oregon Trail. We have created a route From Oregon City Oregon through, Idaho, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas and into independence Missouri mostly Off-Road retracing the same general route that the Oregon trail tacked. We still have a lot of work to do to work up to our goal but are working hard to make our dream come true.

Check out our journey on line at www.OregonTrailOffRoad.com and follow our 2 year journey. We are also documenting our process in our documentary series "One Lane Road" check out our first episode "Foundations" and follow us on Facebook and Instagram. There is all kinds of cool stuff on the website route maps, OTO shirts, OTO GeoStashes and team info. Help us on achieve our expedition and support us online.

We look forward to sharing our experience with you

So we've come to the point in our navigation planning where we could use some help from fellow travelers. We are in need of overlanders in Idaho, Wyoming, Nebraska, and Kansas who are willing to help us do some recon on the route we've plotted through those states. We have the route in GPX & KML files for your devices and you will need some way to track your recon mission. We're looking for alternate routes where map is not viable, possible camp spots, POI's, gas stations and any other helpful info along the way. If your interested let me know we appreciate any help we can get.

Have you talked with or looked at Tony Huegel's routing and trip history? I would give him a ring and see what he says. I think Tony has done trips along this route a few times. He might save you some planning time.

Looks like fun!

I find many interesting things while creating our route maps just thought I'd share this one with you guys. It looks to be a training base of some sort thought it was fascinating with the old planes.
