There was a sign in the window of a shop that I wish I had photographed... nothing special but it has tickled me since. It was in McCarthy AK. In the door window it said "SHUT" (not "Closed" ....shut)....If'n it ain't open ...it's "shut".

Now in Newfoundland ... the first sign is at a trail to the top of a hill.

The second is one at a fishing boardwalk... signs at each local's favorite spot.

Yep have seen them close to the VC.

They are really active along the road in that area especially when the moose are around.

The warning sign on the east side of Sonora Pass (rte 108) which warns of 25% grades ahead. The truck image on the sign is almost vertical. Sorry, didn’t stop to take picture.
