Got a couple winter projects in mind, looking for some input.
Background: bought a used '01 FWC Hawk shell in pretty damn good condition.

First: The '01 Hawk has the old style roof, with dozens of 1/4" hex screws holding down the skin. We spent a seriously rainy week in Colorado last summer. It didn't leak miraculously. The roof has been repaired by the previous owner, the was a leak in a corner. Have been thinking of sealing it ever since. Thoughts? Sealant products?

Second: Has anyone ever repainted the plywood under carriage? I'm thinking marine grade paint? Related question: Has anyone ever bothered to repair the worn plywood corners of the under carriage? Was sort of thinking fiberglass layers. Thoughts?

Thanks for your ideas!

I too need to refinish my plywood on the sides.  There has been a ton of discussion on what to use.  Everything from deck stain to the wood sealant you see at Home Depot.  I'm not sure what is best.  I was thinking that on the corners I might put a little angled aluminum to protect the corners.  Not sure yet as it's too cold in my garage to mess with any applications yet.
